Personal Information:
Jim is a life-long resident of Cobb County. He
graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta, and shortly thereafter joined the U.S. Army. He received an Honorable Discharge after serving his country from 1973-1976.
Jim has been practicing law for over 35 years, having begun in 1981. He served as Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate campaign for Bob Barr and Chief Counsel of the Barr for Congress Campaign. He is a past President of the North Cobb Rotary Club and served on the Board of Directors of the Pinetree Country Club. He is the former Chaplain of the Cobb County Bar Association and currently sits on its board as a Trustee.  He is the Founder and Director of the ministry, Lawyers Helping Lawyers.

Jim and his wife, Amy, have seven children. They are active members of the Burnt Hickory Baptist Church where they teach Adult Life Courses.
Jonathan Stoye began as an intern with Jim upon entering high school. He has
worked alongside Mr. Hogan as a Legal Assistant for three years and is currently
serving as a Law Clerk for the firm.

Jonathan was born in New York to Edwin and Patty Stoye in early 1991, but
moved with his parents to Georgia later that year when his father received a
position at Lockheed Martin Co. in Marietta.

He graduated from East Paulding High School in 2009, and then enrolled at Liberty University in Virginia. He transferred home to Kennesaw State University in 2010, where he received his B.S. in Political Science in May of 2013. Jonathan is currently enrolled in the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, in Macon, Georgia.

Jonathan is an active member of Mikado Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.
